Summer Days

This is what most of our days have looked like this summer - tryin to stay cool by playing in the water!

-----------------------------------------------------
The last couple of summers my parents have been so nice to have Bailey and Kaden come visit for a week.  The kids, of course, LOVE being there "alone" and love all the fun things they get to do: swimming every day, getting snow cones, going to the movies, going to the dollar store, and playing games - lots and lots of games!  Kaden learned several new ones including Clue and Yatzee.  Lexie acted lost all week without her brother and sister at home, but was excited to go and visit for a couple days when we went to pick them up.
Having a bbq at Nana's house!

Bailey reading to Clancy

Going to see the temple for home evening.

Greer 2010

For our vacation this year - we went up to Greer for a few days with my family.  The weather was beautiful  - we enjoyed getting out of the heat, spending time with family, relaxing, playing games (laughing ALOT), going fishing, hiking, and eating lots of good food.  Here's some of the pics:

Having fun with cousins

Hanging out at the cabin

Making necklaces with Nana

Going fishing at Big Lake

Picking flowers

Eating s'mores
More fishing - there were tons of lakes to choose from
Going on a few hikes

Car Seat Cover

I finally got it done!  I swore I would NEVER make another one after the last couple I made.  But I couldn't resist making one for this baby - and this was the easiest one yet and didn't take nearly as long!  I'm really happy with how it turned out.

My darling, darling Lexie

Our little Lexie - what can I say.  She is a spunky, opinionated, ambitious little red-head.  Here's just a couple of her latest adventures!

This is what happens when mom sneaks away for 10 minutes and thinks she can take a shower in peace. . . Lexie decides to drink maple syrup.  It was in her hair, on her clothes, on the table, the chairs, the floor, EVERYWHERE!

And this is what happens when Lexie is supposed to be going to bed - she empties the dresser and has a little fun with some baby powder (I still don't know where she found it)!  And she managed to do all this in the dark - since she can't reach the light switch!

Good thing she's so dang cute and charming - otherwise I would have just beat her, that little stinker!

Kindergarten Graduation

What can I say?  I am way behind on posting!  Here's some quick pictures from Kaden's Kindergarten Graduation:

They sang a couple cute songs

Going up to get his diploma.  I was all ready to to get a picture and . . . .

Stupid lady stood up right in front of me!  I wanted to yell at her!  She was on the front row and kept standing up and blocking everyones view with her big fat head!

Kaden and his buddy Austin B.

Kaden and Austin W

Kaden and his teacher, Mrs. Gregory.  I cannot say enough good things about her!  She was amazing!  (yep, that's my darling daughter flashing everyone in the background.  Makes a mother proud)

Kaden, Mrs. Gregory, and Austin Welly.

Kaden had a GREAT year - but I really don't feel old enough to have a first grader!
