Random

Just random pics I need to post:

Kaden and his Lego creations

Kolten LOVES him some watermelon

In our house fighting and arguing earns you a timeout holding hands.  As you can see the girls were thrilled

Never know where I'm gonna find Kaden in the morning....this day it was in Bailey's bed.

Kolten's Walkin!

August 28th - Kolten is officially walking! He was so unlike our other kids. He was perfectly happy just sitting and watching things. When we would stand him up and start him walking, he would just collapse - little stinker. Then all the sudden he decided to walk. He only had a day or two of being unsteady and then just took off! It was really funny to watch. And of course he walked toward his little mama - Bailey and not anyone else. We sure love our sweet Koley and can't believe he is growing up so fast!

The lizard

The kids have been catching lizards all summer and made a pet out of one of them. Unfortunately, after a couple weeks the lizard's time was up. Kaden was SO upset - crying off and on most of the morning. He took pictures of the burial to remember his precious lizard. I tried really hard to be sympathetic - but the whole thing was just funny to me. I'm evil.

Hair Bow Holder

My girls hairbows seem to be multiplying at an alarming rate.  (Maybe because I love making them)  Anyway - our old system wasn't workin so great.  So I made a new hairbow holder.  Its just a sheet of particle board, covered in batting and fabric, and with some ribbons.  Pretty simple but I'm happy with how it turned out.

Now to track down all the stray bows spread throughout the house.........

Happy Birthday Kolten

A look back over Kolten's first year.

This is the only time he cried while we were in the hospital.  I think it was because the camera flash startled him.  I couldn't believe he slept the whole night, both nights we were in the hospital - waking up once to eat.  And just whimpering a little til I fed him. I would have actually gotten some good sleep except for the stupid nurses who kept waking me up to ask if I needed anything!

I LOVE that little butt-chin!

 Birthday donut!

We are so happy to have Kolten in our family.  He is such a special blessing to our family.  Kolten is by far, the happiest and content baby I have every seen!  He is so even-tempered and not much phases him.  I think of him as my personal little ray of sunshine - which I know sounds cheesy.  But he is SO happy all the time!  He really have a calming effect on our home and reminds all of us to be happy.  Kolten being sent to our family has really been a faith-builder for me.  It has really taught me that Heavenly Father knows what we need, when we need it!  I was SO not ready to have a 4th child and didn't know if I even wanted another one.  But he was sent to us anyway and I can't even begin to describe how grateful I am for Kolten and his place in our family.

Happy Birthday Sweet, Sweet Kolten!  We love you more than you will ever know.
