Go Panthers!

 We just finished another season of flag football.  Kaden had a great time - his favorite is playing quarterback.  We had a really good coach and a great season!  Go Panthers!

Bling

Bailey has been sucking her thumb since she was a baby - and I have been dreading this day just as long.  I knew it was not going to be fun to break this girl of the thumb sucking habit - but when the dentist told me it was messing up her teeth, I knew it was time.

We decided the bribe motivation would be getting her ears pierced.  She finally decided she was ready to give it up - so after a few weeks to make sure it really stuck - Bai got her ears pierced!

 She was kinda in shock after the first one, so the lady quickly did the second one.  Then she got a little upset...

...but it didn't take long for her to cheer up and get a good look at her new bling!

Kaden's treasure hunt

Kaden decided to make a treasure hunt for an FHE activity a few weeks ago.  He went to town with yellow post its all over the house.  My brother and sis-in-law were here for FHE that week - so they got the pleasure of participating.  We were all dying laughing by the end.  You just had to be there...

Just tryin to catch up on the many, many pics I need to post!

Kaden's first day of first grade went pretty smooth.  The poor thing gets SO nervous - he coudn't eat the night before or that morning.  He wanted me to walk him in, but once he found his line he was fine and definitely did not like the hugs, kisses, and picture taking.  To bad! I did it anyway...  He got a great teacher and really seems to be enjoying 1st grade.

Bailey's newest hobby is doing the dishes - no complaining here.  She actually does a good job.

Bailey has always been too scared to ride the motorcycle with Dad.  He decided to ride it to drop her off at dance (which is really close).  She was too scared to get on - I kinda forced her on - and she LOVED it.  She begged him to pick her up on the motorcycle too!

Focused Campaign - PCSO Rifles 2010


Monetary Donations are being requested to purchase

Patrol Rifles for Pinal County Sheriff's Deputies Pinal County Sheriff, Paul Babeu will purchase much needed automatic rifles essential to the safety of the Sheriff's Deputies who are charged with protecting Pinal County Citizens. Your partnership in this endeavor will assist in the ongoing battle being waged in Pinal County's desert areas between Sheriff's Deputies and the Mexican Drug Cartel members and their affiliates. Dangerous incidents have increased through the past few years and are now escalating to a point where Deputies are involved in high speed vehicle pursuits, shoot outs between deputies and smugglers, incidents of ambush, as well as the deputy who was injured in a shooting. These incidents show compelling evidence that Pinal County Deputies need automatic rifles to NOT be out-gunned by Drug and Human Smugglers.

The Pinal County Sheriff's Office will purchase these rifles from an Arizona Manufacturer, Sun Devil Manufacturers in Mesa, Arizona. The decision to buy 'Arizona Made Rifles' is to help offset the economic damage brought to the Arizona business community by the SB 1070 Boycott. These rifles have been tested and are being made to the specifications of the Sheriff's Office.

The Sheriff's Office is unable to accept donations of used weapons, as they have not been tested and must meet regulation and uniformity guidelines for Deputy's use.

Kolten's Arrival

Kolten Rhett McKenzie - born August 4th at 1pm.  Weighed 6lbs 15oz and was 18 inches long.  We are so glad to have him here.  His birth went very smooth - the best of all my csections for sure.  So far, he is a super good baby.  He is nursing really well, sleeping good, and hardly every cries - I just hope it continues!  Matt and I are still in shock I think - that we have 4 kids.  Still seems surreal.  I don't feel old enough to have 4 kids!  It's only been 11 days since he was born - we already can't imagine our family without him, he makes it feel more complete.

Ready to leave the hospital!  I think this was my shortest stay of them all.  C-section was Wednesday at 1 and we got to go home Friday morning.

It is so fun having a new baby in the house.  (Although you forget how hard it can be, even with a good baby.  I will be glad when the postpardum emotional roller coaster is over and when he's not eating what seems like every hour. I will also be glad once things calm down and we can get back to a schedule.  But for now, I'm just trying to enjoy this sweet, sweet baby boy!)
